Fourth of July 2009

"Several other characters will be appearing in the parade for the first time. The Lone Ranger and his horse, Silver, have been added to the lineup. So has Fred Taylor, a resident of East Elpin Drive in Catonsville who is the official town crier of Annapolis. Taylor has assumed the role of official town crier for Baltimore County for events celebrating the county's 350th anniversary.

Wearing a red coat with a double cape trimmed in the other colors of the Maryland state flag, he said he'll be introducing County Executive Jim Smith and 'giving a little, 'Happy anniversary to the United States, happy birthday to Baltimore County, make way for County Executive Jim Smith.' and schmoozing and putting along the way.'"
